Four Capuchin Franciscan friars are coming to the Diocese of Greensburg to establish a community at a new friary in the town of Indiana, where they will provide pastoral ministry and leadership at three parishes in Indiana County, along with university campus ministry services at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Thank you for taking a few moments to visit the website of Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Parish with worship sites in both Lucernemines and Coral, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. 

Whether one has lived in our beautiful region their entire life, or is simply traveling through via an area highway, our parish has two beautiful church buildings wherein we both worship God and nourish the soul.  Gathering around the Lord’s word and altar for holy Mass, our parish family seeks the face of God who loves us tremendously and created us in his image and likeness.

The first woman doctor of the church, St. Teresa of Avila, once wrote “May God protect me from gloomy saints” and “Since Christ has so few friends, let us be good ones.” 

It is in that spirit of Christian discipleship that we at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish seek to be good friends of God and radiate his joy to all the world.

During this difficult time, we hope that everyone is taking precautions for themselves and their loved ones and staying well. Please remember that during the suspension of Masses we will continue to receive contributions from those who are utilizing WeShare. If you are not currently contributing through WeShare, please, click on the "Donate" button in the upper right hand corner, click on "Online Giving" You do not have to create an account to make a donation!! Click on the category that you want your donation to be credited "Weekly Offering" (recurring or one-time) or any of the other collections where you wish to donate (ie: Accent, Cemetery, Maintenance, etc.) or you may mail them to the parish office via regular mail.  You may drop the contribution at the office there will be no person-to-person contact, please walk in, and leave any document or offertory envelopes in the box to the right of the inside door.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the parish office at 724-479-9542, ext. 10. The office is typically open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 9 a.m. 4:00 p.m. There may be adjustments to the hours due to the current COVID-19 situation, please call the parish office if you need to drop anything off BEFORE coming in. Thank you for your support and understanding during this chaotic time!
